The Sire (father): Gideon is, above all, a dog with a reputation for having a fantastic character.
     His lines can be traced back to many prestigious dogs of the past such as Ch Snuggletooth Hayseed Hobo, Ch Sylbeq Draught Guinness, Ch Chicnoir Midnight Sultan, Peterblue Nigel and even the famous Dancerwood Diamond Lil who ended her days in France, to name but a few. He also carries the genes of Astrellita's most famous - Ch Astrellita Adele, Ch A The Gunslinger, Ch A The Saddle tramp of Newarp, Ch Dancerwood Bewitched at Astrellita.
     Gideon's mother, Léa, Fair Oak's New Mark of Nobility, is a French dog bred by Mme Lebeck. She became French champion in 1999 with the unusual honour of becoming Best in Show at the Nationale d'Elevage of the French collie club (Club des Amis du Colley). This means she beat all the roughs present. She was handled by M Michel Moqué - a well-known collie judge. No other smooth collie has been BIS at a Nationale until Oneway's Miraculix, sire of our first litter, won the same honour in 2006.
     Gideon is currently Junior Champion of Germany and has recently qualified as German champion (VDH+Club).Here is the link to Whashishi's website.
